OVARY STIMULATION AND MONITORING

After the primary consultation, our next task would be the stimulation of the growth of follicles. To do this, we would prepare them by means of medical drugs. To make sure that everything goes well during this process, we would monitor it by blood tests and ultrasound. At this point the patient will have all the needed information about the medicines, the necessary daily dosage of them and everything else to make sure the process goes as planned. Stimulation protocol, as the scheme of treatment is called, will be developed for each patient personally. The doctor would see your reaction to the protocol by evaluating the size of follicles and hormone levels. Close monitoring and control will allow the doctor to adjust the daily dosage of medicines. After that, when certain follicles dimensions will be reached, we would prescribe a special drug that provides the final maturation of eggs. The next stage starts after 35-36 hours of its administration.

EGG RETRIEVAL

For this stage, you would have to arrive at our clinic. Using sedation and analgesia, we will do the ovary puncture. During the procedure we would use a thin needle, also ultrasound guidance would be conducted. This will not take long: all the procedure will last for no more than 20 minutes. As a result, we would collect follicular. Later our laboratory specialists, such as embryologists, would find an egg and separate it from the fluid. FERTILIZATION This stage we will do at our clinic, and the patient does not need to participate in the process. Basically, we would fertilize the eggs and then cultivate them. Usually, this process takes about 3-6 days. When it is successfully over, we are ready to transfer fertilized eggs.

EMBRYO TRANSFER

Usually, we fertilize and cultivate a number of eggs, to ensure the successful birth of a child. There is a possibility not to use all of them during the transfer. Our doctors would consult you on how many embryos are safe to transfer at the moment based on the embryologist summary. All the rest eggs would be frozen and might be used in the future. The transfer is an easy procedure that would be conducted in full consciousness even without anesthesia.

MONITORING RESULTS

After the embryo transfer, we would have to wait some time to confirm pregnancy. There is nothing special a patient should do on this stage, just wait. After two weeks of waiting, we would an hCG test that confirms pregnancy. And after two more weeks, the patient should do the ultrasonic diagnostics. When everything is confirmed, it is time to get prepared to give birth.
